Therapist for life transitions in The Woodlands, TX, and online across Texas

For when life changed and you don't feel like you used to.

Maybe you became a parent, changed careers, or your role at home or in your community shifted. Maybe the beliefs you grew up with don't look like they once did. Maybe it's anger or stress you can't seem to put down. Somewhere along the way you stopped recognizing yourself. You don't need the words for it yet. Figuring that out is part of the work.

A real person, every week.

Therapy works differently when you have time to build an actual relationship. At Panda Therapy, you work directly with me, session after session. No rotating providers, no starting over with someone new. Just a consistent place to talk about what's happening in your life, with someone who's getting to know you along the way.

One therapist, in a room in The Woodlands or Spring, on a walk outside, or on a screen anywhere in Texas. The relationship we build is one of the leading factors in your healing and success.

What brings people in

Counseling for life transitions, whatever started it.

Most people start with one thing: the anger, the stress at work, the argument that keeps repeating at home. That first thing is usually the way in to something bigger. We start where you are and follow it.

Big life changes

A new job, a lost job, a marriage that changed, a move.

Becoming a parent

Becoming a parent changes everything, and almost nobody asks how the dad is doing.

Faith and religious trauma

Leaving a religion, questioning what you were raised in, or the fallout that follows.

"I don't feel like myself."

Who you thought you were doesn't match how you're living, and it's wearing on you.

How I work

Calm, laid back, and honest with you.

The relationship comes first

You don't have to know what to say or where to start. We'll figure that out together, and curiosity goes a long way.

No judgment

Swear, make a dark joke, or say the thing you've never said out loud.

Name it, then feel it

The real work is feeling what's under the anger, so it stops running the show.

Real tools

CBT, ACT, solution-focused and person-centered work, with a social worker's eye on the whole picture.

Is this a fit?

If you're ready to figure out what's actually going on, let's talk.

You don't need to know exactly what's bothering you. But being willing to get curious about yourself, even when it's uncomfortable, makes a difference. I'm not here to tell you what you want to hear. I'm here to help you understand what's actually going on.

Common questions

Before you reach out

Do you see clients in person in The Woodlands?

Yes. I see clients in person at TherapySpace offices in The Woodlands and in Spring, and online anywhere in Texas.

What kind of therapy do you do?

Counseling for life transitions is most of my practice: career changes, becoming a parent, relationships, faith and identity. I use CBT, ACT and solution-focused work, with a social worker's view of the whole picture.

Do you only work with men?

No. My focus is anyone going through a life transition or disruption, and I routinely work with men in that space. Therapy is tailored to the needs of each individual.

Do you take insurance?

I'm a private-pay therapist, and I provide superbills on request so you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Mentaya can help with that process.

How do I get started?

Book a free 15-minute consult. Pick a time that works, tell me a little about what's going on, and we'll see if working together makes sense.

Reading, while you decide.

Plenty of people read for a while before they call anyone. That is a reasonable way to start.

Let's just talk for 15 minutes.

No pressure and no forms to fill out first. Pick a time, tell me what's going on, and we'll see if working together makes sense.
